FORT LAUDERDALE – Bon Voyage, Wendy! One of my Lyft riders boarded on the Saturday, December 24th voyage of Harmony of the Seas. It was amazing to see this amazing ship up close. Its sister ships in the Oasis Class Fleet, the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, each the same length of 1,187 feet but both about 718 tons less in gross tonnage were not in port.
Wendy has an exciting itinerary ahead of her with stop in St. Maarten on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 and then her 2nd stop in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 28th, 2016 and her 3rd stop in Labadee, Haiti on December 29th, 2016. She will return to Fort Lauderdale, on December 31st, 2016. What a great way to start the New Year 2017.
The Harmony of the Seas is the latest addition to Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class Fleet which comprises of the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas. The Harmony of the Seas is the world’s biggest ship and features 20 dining options and 7 different neighborhoods at a total length of 1,187 feet and 226,000 gross tonnage. Please enjoy this short video clip of the Harmony of the Seas shot on Saturday, December 24th, 2016. Isn’t it amazing to see how small the cars look in comparison to the mammoth size of this new member of the Oasis Class Fleet?
The action on the ship is pretty amazing with the tallest slide at sea “The Ultimate Abyss” and two FlowRider surf simulators, a Zip Line and a full-sized basketball court and ice-skating rink.
Once onboard the Harmony of the Seas, you can select from 20 dining options aboard the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship from modern Mexican to a stylish Japanese Grill at the Izumi Hibachi & Sushi.
